Senior portraits as unique as you are.
What to Expect
Before the Session
Prior scheduling the session date we will meet to discuss your vision for your senior portraits. We will talk about your interests, hobbies, career aspirations, outfit choices, desired locations, and other ideas that you have for your session. These details help me to paint a portrait of who you are so that I can tailor the session to feature your uniqueness. The more preparation you have put into thinking about what you desire the more detailed and specific we can be when creating your session. After our meeting we will schedule a date for the session and determine which locations best fit what you envision for your portrait session.
PRO TIP: I recommend that you try to meet face-to-face with any photographer you are considering for your senior photography. Your comfort level with the photographer will be an important part of the experience and has a strong influence on the resulting photographs - you want to work with someone with whom you can feel free to be yourself!
During the Session
On the day of the session we will meet at the location and talk through the plan we developed. Most seniors are very nervous at the start of the session. Your iPhone selfies aside, this is not something you do every day. Please feel free to bring a friend along to the session to help you relax and to tell embarrassing stories to make you laugh - they can even jump in for a photo or two! I am not a high pressure or demanding photographer. I create a comfortable environment in which you can shine and have fun and you will find that you quickly relax into the session. I will share images with you as the session progresses so that you can see how fantastic you are doing and how great the images look.
Seniors are responsible for their own transportation to the session location and between locations if applicable. Plan to change clothing in your own vehicle or in a restroom if one is available at the location.
But what if it rains!!? We will be in contact on the session date if the forecast looks like it may rain. Depending on the location and your adventurousness, we may just grab some umbrellas and roll with whatever happens!
PRO TIP: Some seniors choose to dress in layers with bike shorts and a tank-top to make changing easier. Also, bring water and a snack.
